Grade 6 During this cycle, the students will work in groups and build collaborative relationships with their classmates. Students will learn to create and interpret different kinds of graphs, collect data and represent them in tabular and graphic form, describe data numerically using the measures of central tendency; and use data, graphs, and numeric characteristics to build arguments and compare data sets. Students will also develop number sense and conceptual understanding of fractions, decimals, percents and ratios.
Grade 7 During this cycle, the students will learnto work in groups and to build collaborative relationships with their classmates as they create and interpret different kinds of graphs, collect data and represent them in tabular and graphic form, describe data numerically using the measures of central tendency; and use data, graphs, and numeric characteristics to build arguments and compare data sets. Students will also develop number sense and conceptual understanding of fractions, decimals, percents and ratios.
Grade 8
During this cycle, the students will learn to work in groups and to build collaborative relationships with their classmates. They learn formal relationships between different representations like descriptions in words, tables, equations, and graphs; they will discern different types of formulas or equations. Students will also learn the concept of congruent and similar figures.
